Unfinished wood flooring: Unfinished flooring is a product that must be job-site sanded and finished after installation. It's a preferred method for inlay installation to ensure a better fit and finish.
Pre-finished wood flooring: Pre-finished flooring is factory sanded, finished, and only needs installation.
Czar Floors Medallions and Borders can be ordered pre-finished, for an additional charge.
Stock items can be shipped on the next business day after placing the order. Please allow an additional two to five business days for pre-finished items. You may request express shipping for an additional charge.
If the product is not available in stock - it can be produced for most standard wood models in four to six weeks. Stone - sizx to eight weeks. Some can be done sooner. Others may take a little longer.

Herringbone size refers to the width and length of the single board. For Chevron, length is measured on one side, corner to corner, and width is measured perpendicular across the board.
Typically length is proportional to the board width.
Product shipped outside the state of Pennsylvania is not taxable.
Herringbone refers to standard rectangular boards, all of which are the same size.
Chevron refers to boards cut on both ends at a 45° angle, measured from tip to tip on the same side.
Double herringbone is rectangular boards made in three sizes, listing the largest size in the selection. Please see the patterns below for more information.

A typical length of the boards in the bundle is shown with average length. The length of the boards in the nested bundle is not guaranteed. It shows the range of board length that can be in the bundle with only the average length guaranteed.
A template is used as a guide for the router for medallion installation. Plywood template is attached to the floor with the double-sided tape or finishing nails. Inside diameter is the same as the diameter of the round medallion.
The template is shipped disassembled in a small package, about 12"-15" kidney shape. Please locate the package in the shipping box to avoid accidental discard. Plywood sections of the template are assembled into full shape on-site.
Standard thickness for wood medallions and borders is 3/4". Stock items are standard thickness, unless specified otherwise. If you selected a custom thickness - it will be custom made to order for extra charge.
Standard thickness for stone medallions and borders is 3/8"(10mm). Stock items are standard thickness, unless specified otherwise. If you selected a custom thickness - it will be custom made to order.
Thicker, 3/4"(16-18mm) marble medallions are made solid marble, without aluminum backer. Medallions in this thickness are recommended for commercial, high traffic areas and outdoor applications. Medallions over 36" in diameter are shipped by freight, in several segments due to its weight.

Besides solid wood, another option is 2-layer engineered floors. Engineered parquet is made with a 4mm top wood layer and plywood backer, in ¾" or 5/8" total thickness. If you select Rift/Quartersawn Oak, you can use a solid ¾' parquet in most applications. Consider engineered flooring for Plainsawn Oak parquet in humid conditions or on-concrete installations. Face-tape refers to the construction of parquet tiles. Pieces composing the tile are held together by transparent adhesive wide tape applied on the surface. This tape can be removed after the parquet is glued to the subfloor with sanding. Tiles are semi-rigid which allows for better flexibility during installation.
The router bit is provided with every medallion.
The bit is 2 flute, carbide tipped with totally enclosed guides. The top-mounted bearing is ideal for template routing.
Bostik Best adhesive is a fast curing, one-part, cartridge/gun applied, moisture cure urethane adhesive that does not contain water or chlorinated solvents, is V.O.C. Compliant and has no ozone depleting chemicals. Bostik’s Best and Bona R850T glues are the only adhesives tested and certified by Czar Floors for inlays. Use other adhesives at your own risk. Czar Floors does not provide a warranty on subfloor separation for other adhesives.

Often you can find Rift/Quarter flooring - mix of Rift and Quarter. The benefits to this cut of wood are straighter grain that is up to 50% more stable than plain sawn flooring. This is the best option for radiant heated floors. It is also more expensive.
CORNER BLOCK or BORDER CORNER- A border element designed to complement the border pattern, interrupting the flow of the pattern at the corners usually at turns.
Typical corner block is a square piece installed where the border must turn 90 deg. Czar Floors can produce custom border corners with other angles. Some models do not require the corner blocks if the boards can be mitered 45 degree in the intersection.
Corner blocks are not sold separately from the border.
Unless noted otherwise, the cost of the corner is the same as one lineal foot of the border.
